french macaroons

Awhile back I read on somebody's blog about her recent trip to Paris and she made mention of french macaroons. I didn't pay it much attention then but for some reason it recently nagged at me. Having a love for baking, I did an internet search. Ladurée is supposedly where the macaroons were created. And it comes in different flavors. Must try next time I'm in Paris.

Domestic goddess Martha Stewart, of course, has a fantastic recipe for it. There was even a video of her going through the process of making the macaroons. Seems easy enough to make that I think I'll make them for the holidays.
